Goal

Make it easier for informal caregivers to access clear, compassionate guidance

Challenge

Hospice care is most often provided at home, where the primary caregivers aren't trained professionals but family members. These informal caregivers often feel overwhelmed, underprepared and uncertain about how to support their loved ones. Dr. Kevin Stuart, a physician with over 30 years of experience, faced these same challenges while caring for his own father. If it was tough for someone with medical training, he realised just how hard it must be for others. With limited support like pamphlets, sporadic nurse visits and scattered online resources, he set out to create something more accessible and effective.

Solution

Partner for Care is a web-based platform created for informal caregivers of hospice patients. Built with Builder.ai, this platform provides compassionate, easy-to-digest content delivered primarily through visuals. Dr. Stuart worked closely with his Builder.ai team to make sure the platform is intuitive, secure‌ and accessible across devices‌. The platform is provided by hospices at the time of admission, allowing caregivers to access resources with a simple link and phone number.

I found Builder.ai and wasn’t sure it was the right fit, but their onboarding process was very effective. The first person I spoke to was very engaging. Unlike other companies, which mostly communicated through email and sent me PDFs and white papers, Builder.ai offered a meeting to discuss my project. This approach was super smart.

Founder of Partner for Care

Collaboration From The First Conversation

For Dr. Kevin Stuart, creating Partner for Care was a deeply personal project. He knew what he wanted, but not how to build it. His first conversations with other companies felt transactional.

“My initial attempts to contact some companies didn’t feel right.” Kevin shared. “They’d ask for my idea, tell me how much it’d cost‌ and say they’d build it for me.”

What he needed was more than a service provider. He was looking for a true partner who'd involve him throughout the journey. “I realised I needed to be integrally involved with the build process rather than just providing quarterly feedback on what they developed.” Kevin continued, “I wanted to be part of the process.”

That’s exactly what he found in Builder.ai. From the very beginning, the team made space for him to contribute, ask questions and shape the roadmap. It wasn’t just about building a platform — ‌it was about building it together.

Early Traction And Industry Recognition

Since launch, Partner for Care has been adopted by two hospices and showcased at the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Conference‌ — ‌where industry experts described it as “exactly what we need.”

Hospices in Florida and Southern California are exploring adoption. The platform’s infographic-based design, paired with the simplicity of access, makes it a powerful tool for both caregivers and hospice teams.

The Difference Was Human

Builder.ai’s process stood out for its human touch. While Kevin appreciated automation where appropriate, what mattered most was feeling like the team genuinely cared about his project.

“The team gave undivided attention. Some meetings lasted an hour and a half at the end of the day, and they were fully engaged every time. That kind of commitment can’t be automated. Builder.ai became part of the product. I wouldn’t want to do it without them”
